Titan Ties Resin Crack Stitching Kit
FREE NEXT DAY DELIVERY AVAILABLE
The Titan Ties Resin Crack Stitching Kit is a complete crack repair system designed to permanently reinforce and reconnect cracked masonry using high-tensile stainless steel helical bars bonded into mortar joints with high-performance styrene-free polyester resin. Simple, Fast and Highly Effective.
The Titan crack stitching kit contains everything required to carry out effective crack repairs without costly rebuilding. Helical bars are installed across cracks and chemically bonded into the wall, helping redistribute tensile forces and stabilise the affected area.
Suitable for professional installers, builders, and competent DIY users, the resin-based installation method provides a clean, rapid and non-disruptive repair solution for many common masonry cracking problems.

How Crack Stitching Works
Slots are cut into the mortar joints across the crack and thoroughly cleaned. Polyester resin is injected into the slot before the stainless steel helical bar is embedded into position. Additional resin is then applied to fully encapsulate the bar.
Once cured, the helical bars and resin act compositely with the masonry to absorb localised stress and minimise the likelihood of further cracking. Please see our installation guide and installation video (above) for more information.

FAQ
What is crack stitching and how does it work?
Crack stitching is a structural masonry repair method that strengthens cracked brickwork by installing stainless steel helical bars into cut slots across the crack and bonding them in place with a grout or resin. This helps reconnect the masonry and distribute tensile forces along the wall.
What types of cracks is crack stitching suitable for?
Crack stitching is commonly used for stair-step cracks in brickwork, horizontal cracking and localised structural cracks caused by movement, settlement or thermal changes. If cracking is ongoing or widening, the cause should be assessed before repair.
Do I need a survey or design before crack stitching?
Not always. For straightforward, non-progressive cracking, many repairs can be specified from photographs and basic measurements. For more serious cracking, repeated cracking or structural concerns, surveys and repair designs may be required.
What products do I typically need for crack stitching?
Most crack stitching repairs require:
- Stainless steel helical bars
- A bonding medium (cementitious grout or resin)
- Installation tools (slot cutting, pointing tools, mixing/application tools)
- The correct bar diameter, bar length and bonding method depend on the wall construction and crack pattern.
Should I use grout or resin for crack stitching?
Both work, but they suit different situations. Grout is more tolerant of thermal movement and is generally preferred for lime mortars. Resin is often preferred for smaller projects and DIY installations because it is faster and simpler to install without mixing grout. The most suitable system depends on wall construction and site conditions.
Can crack stitching be done on external and internal walls?
Yes. Crack stitching can be used on both external brickwork and internal masonry. The correct installation approach depends on access, finishes, wall type and whether the crack passes through the full wall thickness or is localised.
How many bars do I need and where should they be installed?
Bar spacing and layout depend on crack type, wall thickness and load paths. Typical installations use multiple bars distributed vertically across the crack at recommended spacings.
Can you supply kits and provide technical advice?
Yes. Structural Supplies provides crack stitching kits, helical bars, resin and grout systems together with technical product guidance on selection, installation best practice and masonry compatibility.

Reviews
Although an experienced DIY'er I had never done Structural repairs like this before so was somewhat apprehension. However the online instructions appeared straight forward and clear and this was confirmed as the product was easy to use, cures quickly, but not too quickly. I didn't need to use the technical support, so can't comment. Delivery was very quick, I although I was unaware where it was delivered as it was left at a neighbour and the courier didn't leave a note! Otherwise perfect servic
Ordering was easy and concise, delivery also speedy and without issue. I've never used the Titan Ties Resin Based Crack Stitching kit before but watched the demo video and found it to be a simple and effective way of repairing a patio wall. The resin went off quite quickly, which given the poor weather was god send. All in all I am very pleased with the outcome and have no reason not to believe that the wall is more stable and should remain crack free.
The kit and instructions did exactly what was intended /described and was very simple to use. The resin gun applicator is high quality and works well with the cartridges. Sets rock solid with even application/mix. Great product and will reuse. My gaps/rebate were too large so used more resin than intended (my issue, not the product) but otherwise I can’t fault this
Quite a good choice of this size stitching kit on the net, all of a similar price.
However this kit Titan - from Structural Supplies included 6 x 410ml anchor resin, the competition offered 5 x 400ml resin. Since estimating resin quantity required in old brickwork is difficult, the extra resin quantity margin made it the choice for me.
unfortunately the package arrived a bit battered , but what can you do and this meant that two of the nozzles had splits at the end which i fixed easily with tape, so no great drama. the product worked well and does exactly as advertised hence the 5 stars. will defiantly use again
